As a form of strengthening international collaboration, the Laboratory Assistant of the Accounting Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) organized an exclusive podcast session with students from Uzbekistan on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. This activity is part of the study exchange program initiated by the Accounting Study Program at UMSIDA to broaden the global perspective of students and to foster relationships between countries through academic dialogue.
The podcast titled “Life As An Accounting Students: Story From Uzbekistan Students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo” features Uzbek students participating in the Study Exchange program at UMSIDA, alongside the Assistant Laboratory (Aslab) of the Accounting program as the moderator. Held in the Accounting Laboratory, the discussion was interactive and warm.
In the session, the participants exchanged views on the accounting education systems in their respective countries, trends in digitalization within the accounting world, and the role of the younger generation in addressing the challenges of the accounting profession globally. Uzbek students also shared their cultural experiences and impressions of studying in Indonesia, particularly at UMSIDA.
This activity is recorded to be subsequently published through the official social media of the Accounting Study Program, serving as both documentation and an educational medium for other students. Moreover, this podcast serves as a means of promoting the internationalization of the Accounting Study Program, which is actively developing cross-border programs.
With the existence of this activity, it is expected to enrich students’ perspectives, train their cross-cultural communication skills, and strengthen the position of the Accounting Study Program at UMSIDA as an adaptive program that is open to global cooperation.
