This international event carries the theme “International Community Service Collaboration” and serves as a strategic platform for universities to strengthen global collaboration in the field of community service.
The Accounting Program’s participation in this event reflects its commitment to supporting the internationalization of higher education, particularly through the development of academic cooperation and cross-border community service. This forum provided an opportunity for faculty members and participants from various institutions to broaden their horizons, build networks, and identify collaboration opportunities relevant to the advancement of accounting scholarship and its contribution to society.
The event was attended by various Muhammadiyah Aisyiyah universities in Indonesia, including Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo, Muhammadiyah University of Jember, Muhammadiyah University of Gresik, Muhammadiyah University of Sukabumi, and Muhammadiyah University of Surabaya. Additionally, the event involved international partners such as Asia International University, Symbiosis School of Economics, and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. The presence of these various institutions strengthened the collaborative atmosphere and opened up a broader space for academic dialogue.
Through the international seminar—the main component of the event—speakers shared best practices and innovations in implementing community service programs based on international collaboration. For the Accounting Program, the presented materials served as crucial inspiration for designing community service programs that are more adaptive, impactful, and aligned with community needs, particularly in the areas of financial literacy, governance, entrepreneurship, economic digitalization, and the empowerment of SMEs.
The theme “International Community Service Collaboration” aligns with the program’s need to develop community service activities that are not only locally oriented but also have a global perspective. Within the academic context of accounting, international collaboration can serve as a means to strengthen the role of academics in addressing societal challenges, such as enhancing financial transparency, organizational accountability, business management, and the utilization of digital technology in community economic activities.
In addition to the seminar, the event also featured an award ceremony as a form of appreciation for institutions and individuals who have made tangible contributions in the field of community service. This session serves as motivation for the Accounting Program to continue improving program quality, expanding its network of partners, and producing sustainable community service activities with tangible impacts.
Participation in JAVABOUND 2026 also serves as a crucial opportunity for the Accounting Program to strengthen synergies with various universities, both national and international. The interactions fostered during the event open avenues for collaboration in the form of joint research, academic exchanges, scientific publications, and the development of community service programs based on global collaboration.
Through this participation, the Accounting Study Program hopes to continue playing an active role in supporting academic internationalization and strengthening the scientific contribution of accounting to society. JAVABOUND 2026 serves as a strategic step in building sustainable, innovative, and far-reaching collaborations for the development of higher education and community service.
