The Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Business, Law, and Social Sciences (FBHIS), Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA), continues to strengthen its international presence. Five Accounting lecturers from FBHIS UMSIDA were invited as Guest Lecturers at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in an international guest lecture themed “Governance and Accounting of Muhammadiyah Charitable Enterprises in Indonesia.”
The event, held in early October 2025, was attended by students from both USIM and UMSIDA, conducted in a hybrid (online and offline) format. The guest lecturers delivered insightful topics related to the development of governance, business, and accounting practices of charitable organizations in Indonesia, particularly focusing on Amal Usaha Muhammadiyah (AUM) — the charitable enterprises under Muhammadiyah.

📌 Sarwenda Biduri, SE., MSA. and Eny Maryanti, SE., MA. – Accounting of Muhammadiyah Charitable Enterprises at PTMA
Through this international guest lecture, the lecturers not only shared academic knowledge but also strengthened the global academic collaboration between FBHIS UMSIDA and the Faculty of Economics and Muamalat (FEM), USIM. This collaboration is expected to open future opportunities for joint research, international curriculum development, and academic mobility for both lecturers and students.
The Dean of FBHIS UMSIDA expressed appreciation for the lecturers’ participation, highlighting it as a tangible step in implementing the internationalization of the study program and enhancing UMSIDA’s academic reputation at the global level.
